| Willie Alexander's Persistence of Memory Orchestra http://www.williealexander.com Willie is a Boston rock legend who played briefly with the post-Lou Reed Velvet Underground. The Persistence of Memory Orchestra is drums, two saxophones, and vocals/keyboard, and plays what might be called experimental rock & roll/jazz/beat poetry. Willie was categorized as "Thelonious Monk meets the Replacements" in Rolling Stone Magazine by Peter Wolf. The group released 2 CDs on Accurate Records http://www.accuraterecords.com, but has been inactive for the past few years. |
