Dig Big Saxophone Quartet http://kenfield.org Dig Big is an all-saxophone ensemble playing funky original and unique music that celebrates the sonic, textural, and rhythmic aspects of the saxophone. The members, Henley Douglas (bari sax), Ken Field (alto sax), Dave Sholl (tenor sax), and Jeff Robinson (tenor sax), are prominent and accomplished musicians based in the Boston area, with credentials that extend far beyond this region. Credits include Laverne Baker, Dr. John, Big Momma Thornton, Birdsongs of the Mesozoic, and Sesame Street. The group has some original material recorded, but has not yet released a CD.
